Kewford Eagles
Beta Heat Treatment is pleased to announce the sponsorship
for season 2009-2010 of Kewford Eagles
Under 10 West who play in Under 10 Division 1 of the Stourbridge & District
Youth Football League. Beta supplied a full away kit
including track suits for the start of the new season on the 6th
September, which commenced with a home fixture resulting in a comprehensive
victory 7-2 over Legion Lions. Two away matches followed, the first was against
Phoenix Youth South and ended with a hard fought victory 2-0 and the second
against Kingswinford AFC North with another positive display to win 3-0. The
team continued their excellent start to the season with a 4-1 victory over
Trysull Tigers and a 3-0 triumph over Brandall Colts.
This leaves them heading the division by 2 points after five games and hopefully
their good unbeaten form will continue.
Since our last update the lads have continued their
excellent run. A 3-0 win against Bilbrook Juniors was followed by an
emphatic 8-1 away victory over Brandhall.
The winning ways continued with two four goal victories over Withymore
Tigers and Kingswinford North. The unbeaten run continued, just, but
Stourbridge Glass Boys put up a sturdy performance to come away with a
0-0 draw. The lads put in a hard working performance, considering they
were without goalkeeper Joe Sidaway and forward Jordan Davies, but were
denied victory thanks to some resilient defending by the SGB and an
outstanding performance by their man between the sticks. The response to this hiccup was an excellent away
performance resulting in a 4-0 win over Netherton Colts West.Sandwiched between these league games were two cup matches in the SDYFL
Cup - 2009/2010 resulting in a comfortable 6-0 win over Newbridge
Rangers and a one sided victory 11-0 over Kingsley Olympic who battled
bravely but were clearly outclassed.
So where does that leave the lads – top of the league by 10 points with
an impressive goal difference of 35. I am sure Paul, their coach, will
not let the lads ease up
after this excellent two months; especially when they look at the league
table and I am equally sure more impressive performances will follow.
Following on from this
were impressive wins against Penn Colts East (home), Legion Lions, Halas Hawks,
Penn Colts East (away), and Withymore Tigers; scoring 19 goals with none
conceded. Again a slight hiccup when they drew 0-0 with BilBrook Juniors before
returning to winning ways with wins against Phoenix South, Stourbridge
Glassboys, Netherton Colts, Halas Hawks and Trysull Tigers (home & away) scoring
23 goals and conceding only 2.
In-between these league games was again an impressive cup run with victories
over Withymore Colts West, Kingswinford AFC and Warstones East, resulting in a
showpiece final at the Delph Stadium against Withymore Tigers. The first half
was fairly equal at 2-2 but on the restart the lads stepped up a gear and ran
out comfortable winners 5-2.
So the season ended with a league and cup double, this meant they had now
achieved this feat two seasons running.
What was even more impressive was that in the league they only conceded 9 goals
throughout the full season whilst scoring 84.

WELL
DONE LADS FROM ALL AT BETA HEAT TREATMENT.
Beta Heat Treatment are pleased to announce that
sponsorship will continue next year, when the lads will play under the banner of
Withymore Colts in the Stourbridge Youth League under 11,s.
This will be a new experience for the lads, as they will step up from 7 aside to
11 aside with their new strip:

During July Beta sponsored the lads for a day trip to take part in a 5-a-side charity football tournament at Broadway FC in aid of Chernobyl 2000, a charity that takes much needed aid to the children of Belarus still affected by the Chernobyl disaster.
Two teams of five, one under the Kewford banner and the other under the new Withymore banner, were entered against teams from Evesham, Broadway, Worcester and surrounding districts. All had a great day and the lads and their families have offered to donate strips, boots, socks etc to Chernobyl 2000 for the founder Mike Worton to take to a school or orphanage on his next convoy to Belarus
Fabulous gesture!
