The surface coating can be varied in
thickness depending on the desired application but in general for
‘ant-drill’ properties a thickness of
1 – 3
µ (microns) is sufficient.
Base material thickness can be as thin as 2/3 mm with an
after process surface hardness in the region of 2000 Vickers hardness.
As shown in the table opposite the
No-drill harness is in excess of that of
Tungsten Carbide (WC).
